Racor Fuel Filters on a Viking 75 Yacht

Most of those boats interestingly maybe not surprisingly, have Parker Racor products on them. In the next couple of minutes we’re gonna look at some of the fine boats that are equipped with Parker Racor products. Please join me now, we’re aboard a completely different kind of vessel – this is a Viking 75 foot motor yacht and it’s interesting, you take a look got a lot more room down here than we had on the sport fishing boat we have different engines we have a different purpose for the boat but we got the same filter setup.

Now this boat’s powered by Caterpillar diesels nineteen hundred and twenty five horsepower (1925 hp) each. These are v12 diesels and supplying that on either side is a total of eighteen hundred gallons (1800 gals) of diesel fuel so and Viking wants to make sure that that diesel fuel is as clean and dry as possible. They look to Parker Racor and once again we’re using the Racor 75-1000 Max filters with the booster pumps. It looks like Viking yachts must really like this setup because here it is again super easy to gain access to and as we mentioned before the ability to service one filter while the other filter is still protecting your engine.
